An introduction for church leaders and members in exploring the role of gospel centred hospitality in the church, both within the wider church community as a whole and in individual members' lives.
12 members of the church were involved in the evening. We discussed hospitality in our conversations, in our room making, in our host/guest relationships, in our communities and in the day to day. Each course embodied these topics i the way they were served and eaten and they were held with provocations.
We talked a lot about the boundaries of hospitality within our lives and within the physical church building.
I considered a lot of dietary requirements for the food. It was a fun challenge.
One table worked together to make their dessert and the other worked individually. It was an interesting contrast.
We talked about church as family not guests and so between each course different members helped wash up.
